This One of the said that you get thousands of applicants for any job opening you advertise. Remote work has made this worse, but it was already like that.
Most of those are the same set of pajeets applying to every single opening posted on the major sites. All of this automated filtering and interviewing by employers is mainly to filter out that ever present pile of pajeets.
This would be racist, but if you did what some people have admitted to doing and tossed out every pajeet resume based on the name alone you would be down to a short list of possibly qualified candidates. I think of it like those small, private server admins who block anything from a Chinese or Russian IP address. 90% of their spam and bot attacks vanish instantly.
I bet the writer, Shubham Agarwal, is well aware of this but chose not to mention it.
This would not entirely clear up your spam resume problem though. I’ve interviewed a few white people who had no business applying for the job (outright lied on their resume). If you could screen out that recurring pile of trash resumes that get sent to every job opening you would save yourself a lot of time as a recruiter. That’s what they are trying to do, but it doesn’t sound like these AI tools are doing any better than keyword filtering the resumes.
Even screening isnt hard. Trash non-citizens to weed out spam, a few minutes for marginal resumes, 15 minutes to screen candidates who look good on paper.
