Though it seemed completely automated, Just Walk Out relied on more than 1,000 people in India watching and labeling videos to ensure accurate checkouts.

🤣🤣🤣 their fancy propriety face recognizing/inventory tracking AI was just a room full of 'jeets!!! It's 'jeets all the way down!!! 🤣🤣🤣

In cart scanners sounds like a vastly better solution. Cheaper, faster, less error prone, and saves unloading.

I like the trend of self checkouts going away. Low-key method of normalizing interfacing with AI on Whites and the invasives just ignore them. Next step is just shutting the stores down entirely in the substantially non-White areas.

I like them as long as they take cash. Not many do though.

I heard that if you accidentally miss one of your items when you are scanning and get caught by a staff member you can be charged with attempted theft. If there is any chance I will get arrested for scanning my groceries wrong they’re going to have to pay someone to do it for me.
