Dollar Tree, a chain of low-cost general-merchandise stores that saw its recent financial performance eroded by rising thievery

Imagine stealing $1.25 items. Seriously, you can't stuff enough $1.25 itrms in your clothes to make stealing worth while. At least Best Buy has items worth stealing. But Dollar and a quarter Tree?

And the $1.25 items have such a low quantity/quality that even if you did steal stuff, it's almost not worth the time to carry it away.
