Most people are deeming the food as not safe and expensive. Also, the people who would go there can't afford it with incomes not rising. You can say "fuck" fast food workers but their demographic and friends eat there also. This is a long term positive but short hurt since 300 stores means 1000s of jobs or contracts.
The food has changed across the board with these places. I went to a Rallys for the first time in almost 20 years. I remember their burgers and fries being super greasey. My wife had never been and we decided to try it on a wim. The joint looked new. We drove through the drive through and when we went to order an AI talked to us. We got two combos with a shake upside. 20 years ago a Rally's combo would have been 6 bucks. The AI did not tell me the cost of burgers when asked or display it on the screen. I asked a couple times but not response. I figured it might cost 15 or 20 dollars. Drove through to be greeted by Shaniqua. She said 31 dollars. The milkshake was only a 70 cent upcharge. Shock on my face but I paid. Everything was neat a tidy in and clean looking when we got home. Not very Rallys. The fries were disappointing. The burgers tasted like they had some beyond burger in them. The milkshake was ok. None of it was worth 31 dollars. Yes yes it was fast food but still in a pinch if you need to eat something in 10 mins.
Thr plus side of this is my wife has completely sworn off fast food because of this.
