Too many jobs have been "ass in chair" for well over a decade or more. Eventually this will lead to lower pay in those jobs but far greater mobility. The same morons that "locked down the world" for 2-3 years now want everything to go back to "how it was" and the people are saying "fuck off".

I still think there is a - lot - of government pressure (cities, not states..yet) to force people back into the major metros and "downtown" areas because all of the people with money left and now businesses see no point in investing in those areas because the only people there are shoplifting/looting/etc.

Those cities are also suffering because their tax base moved out of the city and are no longer traveling to the city to buy stuff. Mega cities were never supposed to exist in the first place and now (at least in the us) they are falling.
