Ollie's has taken over the market, in certain areas of the country, that Odd Lots used to service.
Odd Lots was kind of going the way of the Dollar Store before Ollie's invaded Ohio. But now, Big Lots has almost nothing in the way of unclaimed freight, I think the only real overstocks they have are limited to food items.
Their progression to dollar store/micro Walmart started with the rebranding to big lots. I still have a set of refurbished Wahl dog clippers that I got from odd lots. Needs new brushes but they still work.
There's a local overstock place that's loaded with junk but sometimes they hit a home run. Within the year they've had $22 boxes of MREs, real mil surplus ammo cans and pallets of esbit like fuel cubes.
Nice. I like the surplus you're finding in that place.
