Intuit withdrew from the..(free file program) in July 2021, saying in a blog post that the company could provide more benefits without the program’s limitations.

Intuit runs a business, not a charity. The users had the option of going to a freefile.companyname site without misleading 'upgrades'. Unable to read fine print or click on no thanks, fools will spend money. Same goes for bundleware that comes with the box already checked. Dur hur we gots a virus.
