I'm not sure restaurants re really necessary any longer. They could easily be replaced by ghost kitchens, especially if they can improve the quality of the food by not having retail space to pay for.

I learned to cook during the pandemic so even ordering food has become challenging because home cooked food is usually better in every way especially cost and quality.

Home cooked food has always been significantly better in cost and quality, but there have always been lazy people and now the pandemic has pushed somewhat lazy people into fully lazy status.

Food service is booming. If you have the skill and the drive (and the capital), this is the time to open a food service business; it’s literally never been easier in history to be profitable
