sounds jewy

Because it is. Many are making excuses for more profits.

I feel like all of the shortages are artificial. That's pretty conspiratorial even for me but still. Something is fucky.

You mean like lumber as far as the eye can see at train yards with claims there are lumber shortages and hyper inflation the cause of collusion and price gouging?

Ya, nothing to see here.

Pork prices almost doubled. It's insane.

California passed new legislation that affects how pigs are raised & slaughtered. Since they import most of their pork, expect their policies to impact you wherever you live.

That should make.pork products cheaper for everyone since millions won't be consuming it. Those regulations are making it very difficult for large scale farms to comply. So I see a win/lose situation

Somebody is going to sell to California, it's a huge market. Most likely the large scale farms will enough to comply - leaving family-owned farms out of that market share.

This is planned.

Worth actually reading the article. They admit hyperinflation is here. Transportation and materials went up 30%.

[–] 0 pt 3y

That's not hyperinflation. They increased energy costs and caused labor shortages. That's it. The root cause is 100% artificial and had nothing to do with inflation, let alone hyperinflation.
