I make way more than 70k a year driving for my company.

If a company is only offering $70k for a truck driver, it is no wonder they can't find any drivers. They can go damn near anywhere else and make over $100k, especially if they are owner/operators.

Owner/ops have a lot of expenses relating to truck ownership, so it may not be as lucrative as it looks first glance. But yeah, wages have been stagnant for so long people are just pissed. That doesn’t mean minimum wage should go to 25$, but companies wanting a skill or experience should pay for it.
