My family and I were consistent customers until I had an xps 1530. It was the absolute worse piece of technology I'd ever had. I had to have Dell repair come and replace the hard drive 3 times in less than 2 years and the touch pad twice. The connection between the screen and computer started going sometime in the 3rd year. It was pre-loaded with Vista in such a way that removing it and replacing it with a different OS was nearly impossible for the average user. Even a dual linux boot worked poorly because of a wireless card compatibility issue.
