Unless your idea for "breaking" up amazon is to remove the Federal government from regulating the market, then your idea is not going to work.

The reason amazon is, just like the rest of them, a monopoly is because of government regulations, nothing more.

Monopolies cannot exist in a free market.

Personally, I think all the big techs that have overwhelmed the market should be dealt with as monopolies and taken care of as they did with Ma Bell and the others mentioned. Whether that will happen or not is another story, as politicians are totally bought off today. But I still think for the better good, it should happen.

The only reason the big tech companies have been able to overwhelm the market is because of government regulations put in place by the labbying of said companies.

Hence why big corps always pour so much money into lobbying. They don't want less government regulation, they want more.
