I wholly support shorter work weeks for those who can afford to work the less hours. Theres enough people to do the job and not sacrifice every second of their personal lives. Ive worked 12 hour days 6 days a week, 4 hour days 2 days a week, and right now i work 9 hour days 3 days a week plus extra whenever anyones sick. The difference it makes in my levels of stress between 3 days and 5 days a week is incredible. Im fully recharged and ready for work after my long weekends now, when i work 5 day weeks im ready to gas everyone and it just gets worse and worse as time goes on.

Ive got a life to live and being someones bitch/slave doesnt have a place in my life. I work a job for the steady income, ill do extra in my spare time as I see fit if i need extra, otherwise im enjoying my lifespan before im old and wishing i would just die already

I worked long stretch of three on, three off ... and then 4/10 hour days, and I agree, both beat five day weeks by a mile. The 4/10 was probably the best, I think, but in this story, they only do 4/8s and get paid for five. So that seems like an even better deal to me.

Three day weekend every week, means more time to sit, ponder and reflect upon how the world is changed in ways I don't like in the least.

The eternal pessimist - LOL

Not pessimism, but a prediction. It'll be harder for the elites to manipulate the sheeple if they're not drained from a 9 to 5, five or more days a week job.

I cannot wait for this to become a more common thing.

5 days, 4 days, 3 days ... who cares? They don't do shit anyway.

I can never wrap my head around these proposals; I have always worked in places requiring 24/7 coverage. So it doesn't matter

Bummer. But when I worked a 24/7 job, we did three on three off twelve hour shifts. Plus you'd rotate between days and nights. I didn't mind that at all ... but my wife hated it because of the odd workweeks.
