Mein Kampf It was a real eye opener

Count of Monte Cristo is my favorite; I’ve read it several times

Best book is tough, though…

Bible is an easy answer for obvious reasons

Rich Dad Poor Dad is another good one for the impact it’s had on me.

1984 and Brave New World have had a massive impact on my view of the world….

That’s a hard question….

monte cristo is epic.

check out "down and out in paris and london" if you like. you can see where orwell got his inspiration to write 1984.

just a suggestion.

I imagine this won't be received all too well, but the best book I ever read is 'Time Enough For Love' by Robert A. Heinlein. A lot of good lessons in there, and in his other books. Some screwy stuff, to be sure, but a lot of good lessons.

Animal Farm changed the way I think about the world the most.

The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson. It scared the crap out of me as a kid, and still does, every time I read it.

i like The Stranger by Albert Camus. Thats my vote.

Farenheit 451 was the book that got me back into reading.

Do you have a favorite, or a book you come back to reread again and again?

What’s the story behind your nickname?

interesting. i only ever read the book of john.

the dark part... well... i just wanted something throwback like xX_ eDgY_Xx. the jesus part? sometimes when i got manic enough to require hospitalization i would think i was the second coming. but i mean, obviously, thats preposterous, in the literal sense. i think its more rational that there could be a lot of "second comings" -- just men trying to live a good and righteous lives.

so, i guess i meant it like a shadow jesus. not the person who influences people, but influences the influencers. thats the best i got.

That's confusing. Darkness is evil, thus:

I Came Into The World as Light For Everyone - John 12:44-50

The Brothers Karamazov -Fyodor Dostoevsky.

The Grand Inquisitor chapter can be read as a stand alone but fits best when nestled in its proper position within one of the greatest tales of the human condition ever penned. Do not let the voluminous Russianness dissuade you from devouring this masterpiece.

The Tom Clancy books have been great so far. Ryan already called one character a sand nigger.

The best book was Heart of Darkness. My favorite book is something that people are not going to like. I read it as a 15 year old kid before knowing anything about anything, so, whatever. But my favorite book is Catcher in the Rye. Followed closely by Of Mice and Men and The Old Man and the Sea.
