Pedantic patrol here. --Don't you mean exacerbate? ...I mean, I guess exasperate works also, but it's not the primary meaning. When I think of exasperated it means the way I feel about this stuff: like kind of 'pissed off.'

Anyhow, I do somewhat agree with your point.
