Expensive to construct, expensive to design.
Will never replace rolled steel. Cool technology, shitty application. I could see this used for unique connections. I wonder what kind of tolerance they keep with those.
I would like to add, I understand the goal here was not proof of economy or efficiency but proof of concept and architecture. As a structural engineer in the steel industry those both mean nothing to me.
