As I understand it, detroit became a city because of ford, and when ford fell on hard times it started reverting into a village.

No, not really. Fact is, layoffs were common right from day one, but they never caused the collapse of the city.
The decline of Detroit as we know it today started during the riot in the late 60's, and the subsequent decades of mass white flight.. leaving only niggers in the city.
As I recall (((Isaac Asimov's))) Second Foundation was about mankind's last refuge from space jewry being hidden in the ruins of the old capital of the galactic empire that had been jewed.
The crazy old kike might have been on to something, as the bowels of Detroit is one of the last places that DC would expect to find huwhyte nazi-drumpf terrorists.
