Most architectural styles prevalent in Russia are neo-Renaissance and neo-baroque, both of which are borrowed from other nations. Doesn't do much for me personally.

Peter the Great went and studied in Europe about everything from architecture to ship building and brought it back to Russia and made Russia a great empire with great things. I'd rather someone imitate beauty and skill than imitate fragile cultures with no history or accomplishment
