I watched akira and Ghost in a shell on vhs in the early 90's and didn't start hardcore till around 2004 when my internet connection got fast enough to watch and download stuff. I think one of the first ones watched was dragon ball in the early 90's once a week, then later I was watching toonami late night and the stuff was better like cowboy beebop, outlaw star, kenshin, and trigun. I later really liked Kekkaishi and watched Inuyasha for something to keep me awake stoned at 4 am. I also loved yu yu hakisho. I've been watching it regularly since early 2000 and weekly since the mid90's. Now online everything is available to watch and binge watch including Netflix that had a surprisingly decent amount of good anime but had also stupid 13 yo type bigtit jackoff shows, no storyline except maybe the boobs will show, so lack of real content. Like I was recently was watching Trinity 7 and thought if they got rid of the stupid sex shit the show would be so much better and have gotten a bigger following, but the writers were likely fondling their junk the entire time at work, likely virgins also.

I thought it was old but realized it was 16:9 and also the motion is a lot better than an older anime.
