I watched a lot of shows this season and enjoyed all of them except for Higurashi, which I dropped and the second half of Kamisama ni Natta Hi. My watchlist was as follows:

Kamisama ni Natta Hi

Golden Kamuy Season 3

Majo no Tabitabi

Maoujou de Oyasumi

Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gou (dropped after 7 episodes)

Tonikaku Kawaii

Tonikaku Kawaii got my highest score on MAL, which was a 10, but while I enjoyed it a lot that 10 was mostly because it was the kind of marriage propaganda that people need these days. Especially Whites and Japanese. Golden Kamuy was another amazing anime that also got a 10 from me, but I don't count continuations as AOTS contenders. For me that leaves Maoujou de Oyasumi and Kuma Bear as my top 2 of the season, with Maoujou de Oyasumi being the winner due to the hilarity of the show.

Kamisama ni Natta Hi was shit. Worst anime of the season from my watchlist even if I did complete it. It was made by the guy who made Angel Beats and apparently he's a big deal even though Angel Beats was only an 8 at best and everything else he's made was shit. I didn't have high expectations for Kamisama and I was still disappointed. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I'm going to start Jujutsu Kaisen tonight since two of the girls from my favorite band (SCANDAL) seem to really love it. I better not be disappointed by an anime liked by Mamitasu and Rina-chan.

I watched the first episode of Berserk for the first time yesterday. Couldn't really get into it. I'll give it another shot at another time.

I did the same thing the first time I started the show. Try watching the 3 Berserk movies first. They pick up the most popular/gripping arc of the manga and seem to be an easy into to the Berserk world.

All of them are about teenagers except for Golden Kamuy. It is anime after all. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gou is the only one that features teenagers that are actually in high school though. If you want a mature anime to watch then go for Golden Kamuy. It's actually my favorite anime of all time. It's seinen, not shounen

Shit, I forgot to mention Munou na Nana which was so good I picked up the manga. I haven't read manga since Bleach ended and I was forced to switch to the manga to finish the story. It's basically Death Note except all the people being killed are retards with super powers. 8/10. Highly recommend.

That's exactly why I hated it, all the people with superpowers become retards when its their time to die as dictated by the plot. Completely unnatural. Same with the asspulls to keep the killer alive when you think they will finally face some consequences, you just start to expect that literally anything will happen for them to win. I hope the manga is better.

And Jujutsu Kaisen is pretty decent if you've liked Demon Slayer, it's a similar kind of show.

The manga is exactly the same as the anime but I love it. There are some big changes that happen to the story after where the anime ended.

Jujutsu Kaisen turned out to be amazing. I watched the first 7 episodes in a row and plan to finish the season as soon as I get home from work. Glad to see that Mamitasu still has great taste in anime
