But the problem with constantly moving to higher ground to escape the rising tide is that you eventually run out of higher ground. If you recently emigrated, or semigrated to what you deem a more defendable position, you now have a duty to take root and hold your ground there. The harsh reality is that, at some point, you will have to make a stand. If not you, it will be your children.

I went the other way. Deep into enemy territory. So far in fact that I am effectively completely disguised because no one would do such a thing unless they were completely nuts. I have been accepted as part of the tribe.

Ya know what will really blow your fucking mind... I did it for complete freedom to educate them at home with no interference of any kind. Not even reporting that they exist. Pretty much impossible in one of the 50 states minus Oklahoma. Yeah, the US is boned hugely. If I could have found even a few families. EVEN ONE who was cool I would have stayed but nope. Everyone was an insufferable cunt.
