The FBI needs to be dismantled. There is no fixing it -- the only answer is to abolish it, and put its leaders into prisons.

The FBI became the one surviving big crime family after Meyer Lansky managed to blackmail Edgar Hoover. But even more important was their job to protect the tens of thousands Paperclip Germans the CIA brought into the US under new identities. The CIA had to takeover FBI and DoJ to make sure nobody persecutes their new staff.
