Last time I saw ads on jewtube it was at someone's place right before I showed them how to install a blocker in their browser.

It was for a soda. I'm not going to say which one except that it's neon green-yellow. I will die of thirst before I drink that soda.

What blocker? I get a few on first load, Refresh and gone.

I've never had a problem with brave browser blocking ads from YouTube.

I still get some that slip through ad blockers. It's interesting.

Fuck kiketube. Adblockers and Brave browser haven't failed me yet.

I'm really surprised that youtube doesn't re-mix the video so the ads are simply part of the stream. It probably means that they run legacy code with so much back-end technical debt that they can't.

The creator can "insert commercials" into the video but most of the time it's the creator doing a "paid advert" during the video.
