Yeah. The reason I am being noncommittal is because I am unsure of what other companies like reddit are doing.
True. Seems like they are eager to cash in over there too, but do they have the same targeting capabilities as Facebook? I would think they'd play to their strength -- simulating grassroots support and widespread consensus.
I don't know. I would think that any company operating on the internet can trace your identity based upon mac addresses, time of logging on, duration of surfing the internet, etc. So, theoretically any company can microtarget ads (whether political or not).
True. And just what subs an account subscribes to is pretty good data about what interests and political leanings are tied to that account. Maybe you could even extrapolate some guesses about age, education and income from that.
