The short version of my vague recollection of the explanation from a video years ago about this issue is that most of the radioactive particles involved have a very short half life and will mostly be gone by now.

Also dilution is the solution to pollution.

Oh ok, yea totes agree dilution is generally the best answer and why it's the go to for mitigating effects of most enviromental poisons and toxins, then allow time for nature to correct an equilibrium.

I kinda remember years ago - Fukushima had acres of hundreds/ thousands of thick bladders fill of 'radioactive water' that was leaking into the ground and they were worried at that time of the potential negative effects once it got into the groundwater or leached out to sea and were exploring new ways to mitigate radioactive isotopes - guess they didnt find any other than the standardized PPM .
