Federal Reserve is releasing FedNow this year, 2023.
That's the news you're not paying attention to because the media is parading another boogieman in front of the public.
I recall that. You're the one who informed me of FedNow in the first place.
But FedNow isn't going to "de-dollarize" anything. The USD is traded by the trillions daily in the foreign exchange currency markets. They won't make some change that will ultimately affect the USD, because of how much money flows through it as a medium of exchange.
Any structural changes will end with the same result. The Dollar remains, the people have less cotnrol over their money, and the FED gains greater control and transparency into the buying habits of the public.
