Rumors of Russian involvement were stoked by several mainstream media outlets over the weekend, after it emerged that ‘DarkSide,’ a criminal hacking organization believed by CNN’s anonymous sources to be based in “a Russian-speaking country,” was responsible for the attack.
Everybody can calm down now. We have investigated this thoroughly and have clearly, as you can see, narrowed it down.
Side note: The name "DarkSide" has American government or Israeli government fingerprints all over it. Russia and China aren't that stupid. "DarkSide" just has that propaganda feel like "conspiracy theorist," "extremist," or "supremacist." Possibly even the hacker named 4chan...
Just like the name Fancy Bear that was made up by the US intelligence. Hackers don't leave calling cards.
