In the beginning I wore disposable gloves with the mask before I realized this whole thing was a joke - that would be the best way to protect from surfaces, but that was never the point at all. They would wipe the cart handles as zealots but ignore the freezer door handles and the credit card machine that the last 200 people just touched. Never mind that the cashier and bagger touching my items touched all the items of those same people then molested mine with disease tainted mitts so I could take the deadly pathogen home to whomever. Fomite transmission is well documented for influenza, but not for the wuflu?
All of these protocols have been religious rituals, to calm and comfort the fearful, inconsistent with the actual rules of vector transmission but placed on full display to appease the cult of covid.
Sanitation theater.....
I noticed that nobody has mentioned yet how this constant cleaning may pave the way for future super bugs that are more resilient. I remember that being a topic of discussion with the over-use of anti-microbial products.
