Here's where we disagree. When the people who represent us can be so easily bought, government becomes the problem not the solution. If a third party gets any kind of traction it will be immediately compromised with interests that think nothing of losing billions in a stock short in a week. Fifty state governments are harder to control than one national government. It's time to assert (and I know how this sounds) state rights or dissolve the union altogether. Anything, literally anything, is better than communism.
