Hasn’t this been the official Russian line for two years?

They need a safe space around their border or else they have no hope of defending their country. If there gonna lose might as well go nuclear. Comparisons to China building a military base with nuclear missiles in northern Mexico. Or Cuba. Like when the CIA told JFK to…um.. well he died.
