Yes. We are at the point where 44% support 100%. Not sustainable, IMO.

Unfortunately I think it is sustainable. They think it is any way or else they wouldn’t be doing it. Perhaps it is just hubris.

Food production and our ability to resist the weather are off the charts historically speaking. These technological innovations are going to make the bulk of the population more unnecessary and even more expendable.

If you were king of the world and could call the shots imagine this scenario; you believe global warming is happening because of population growth. You believe global warming is seriously cramping your lifestyle. You believe that technical innovation has made 85% of the population unnecessary. What would be the logical move? Now you have to balance it of course because having an expendable population can be incredibly important when you need manpower, like in times of war. So you would have to get a handle on those unexpected events also.
