I've wondered about this. Since the conflict began, how much time has Zelensky actually been in the country he's supposed to be, y'know.... leading? Seems to me, he's spent the entire fucking war traveling around like a Gypsie, begging for money from every country he ends up in.
Call me old-fashioned, but maybe he should be leading his people, IN THE COUNTRY HE IS IN CHARGE OF? George Washington faced similar problems, of needing weapons and funding... did he just fucking leave the colonies and head to Europe to start soliciting? Nope, he had other people to do that for him. For example, Benjamin Franklin had good relations with the French, and so did Thomas Jefferson- so they were sent to France to act as diplomats, constantly negotiating and obtaining support for the Revolution.
Washington himself was HERE, with his men, making decisions. He seemed to have an eye for talent, being able to figure out how to best use any given individual's skill, and would delegate accordingly. But that means hardship... and Zelensky probably couldn't take it.
