"No to the Marder mission".
Vad is against sending German Marder tanks to Ukraine, saying it is an escalation even if they are old tanks.
"This mission could develop its own dynamics that we can no longer control.
Of course it was and is right to support Ukraine and of course Putin's attack is not in line with international law - but now we must finally consider the consequences!" the German general continued.
To the question what the consequences might be Vad's answer is clear:
"Do you want to achieve a deadline to negotiate tank deliveries?
Do you want to reconquer Donbass or Crimea?
Or do you want to completely defeat Russia?
There is no realistic definition of the end goal, and without a comprehensive political and strategic concept, arms deliveries are pure militarism".
"I agree with Mark Milley".
According to Vad, there is a military operational stalemate in Ukraine that cannot be resolved militarily.
