And just shut down.

Just the day before germans were protesting to make it open again -

So germany obviously wants it off and wants the protesters to stop. But why should they destroy such important infrastructure?

Russians are now fleeing because of a draft, paying $25 thousand to do so -

WE CAN NOT LET THIS WAR HAPPEN! DO EVERYTHING EVERYTHING EVERYTHING TO STOP IT!! RIGHT NOW IS THE ONLY TIME!

What is currently happening (assuming it was bombed) is that the companies behind Nord Stream are not allowed near the leaks so they can't repair the damage. It seems that whoever did this (NATO/US) want to make sure that the pipes are completely filled with salt water so that entire system of pipes rusts so bad that repairing it will be impossible.

The translation sucks but whatever:

German security authorities assume that the three tubes of the Baltic sea pipeline Nord Stream 1 and 2 after the alleged acts of sabotage to always be unusable are. If you would not be repaired quickly, will break a lot of salt water and the Pipelines corrode

"We are mobilising staff and resources to assess the damage. Nord Stream AG, which owns the leaking Nord Stream 1 pipeline, made the announcement on Tuesday. But it may be some time before anything can be done.

For now, no one other than local authorities are allowed within five nautical miles of the site of the leak. This is according to Dmitri Smirnoff, the press spokesman, who answered when SvD called the head office in Switzerland.

We will investigate the damage as soon as the restrictions on entering the area are lifted. But for the time being, the coast guard does not allow others to come near, says Dmitri Smirnoff, press spokesman for the Swiss-registered company.

Doesn't allow anyone to come near, inspect, or repair the leak. ALL I NEEDED TO KNOW!

It either DIDN'T HAPPEN. Or SELF INFLICTED WOUND. Doesn't matter either way. It might as well have not happened because they get to say whatever happened and control end result for whatever length of time either way.
