China knows this.

China knows this.

I hope something like this would happen.

The USA doesn't actually need China to make all of our shit. If Donald Trump was the man he was presenting himself as, one of his major goals would've been bringing manufacturing out of China and back to the USA. Right now, we are literally dependent on China for an absurd amount of commodities. They have us by the balls because of this- "Oh you sanction us, Amelicans?! Fine, no more phone for you!" Devastating.

That was really coming to a head during the scamdemic. Of course it is all forgotten now.

I recall reading a while back that all the power transformers used to step down voltage for neighborhoods and homes are all made in China too.

They go out quite frequently on their own due to storms, trees knocking them down, etc. without malicious intent.

Not hugely completed gear but it would still take a little while to crank a factory up and start churning them out.

just wait until we experience a CME, and we lose ~70 to 80% of them. the entire contenant will go dark.

do you think China would care to replace them very quickly?

nope.

it would take us MINIMUM half a decade with 100% worldwide capacity to even manufacture enough to service the US alone. and, that's assuming the manufacturing and logistical infrastructure are operating at 100% (which they won't be). could possibly be a dark decade for China as they service themselves first. even longer for us- endebting the next 100 years to China because we would be willing to pay almost anything to power ourselves again.

we last experienced a CME of this magnitude when telegraphs were first introduced, and it literally set all of the telegraph lines on fire. they happen often enough to be planning for this scenario. but, our politicians are fucking retarded, so there's nothing in place for this inevitability.

it's not a question of "if". it's a question of "when".

>In addition to setting the telegraph lines almost literally on fire

the almost seems important here

They seem to go out more often now than ever before, discovering the shit is from China now explains that.

So poking around a bit for updates, it seems as of 2020 85% of America's utility transformers come from over seas. There are some manufacturers in the US that do still create them from scratch in country though nowhere near enough.

There's a letter sent by their coalition to the DoE requesting assistance and pointing out a national vulnerability.

Problem: they have to be built to order for the specific load/neighborhood/whatever. There aren't any 'spares' in a warehouse somewhere.

You'd be truly amazed how fast modern corporations can open and close factories when they want to do it.

Our old factories were shipped to China, including all the same machines, even the same paint from the same paint cans.

Most of the factories that went over there were already obsolete here in the 1990's, but they could squeeze a lot more profit at Chinese wages without spending on anything else.

The problem here is our new factories are all robot based high tech, and they create only a few jobs in the factory itself. I don't know how many, if any, of those Chinese factories ever received the robot production upgrades.

The robots are so advanced now, that humans cannot compete against them even if the humans work for free. Humans can only work in the areas where robots cannot work.

That also means Chinese are also no longer competitive vrs robots.

We see that on the battlefield now too. Half of the US airforce is now drones.

Drones aren’t AI though no? They have someone manning them.

[–] 1 pt

Some do, others do not.

Loitering munitions - some use AI and can automatically attack a pre qualified list of targets upon target acquisition.

And who’s to say China won’t back door American goods into their Russian ally hands. Or any of the other BRIC nations.

Taiwan is a bunch of idiots. The West has no reason to intervene if China attacks them.

China claims that the island of Taiwan is a part of China. Meanwhile, Taiwan still claims that they themselves are still a part of mainland China. Therefore, if China attacks Taiwan, or if Taiwan attacks China - according to both China and Taiwan - it will just be a country attacking itself.

America doesn't exist as a nation any more.

It's last function will be to launch its nukes now that the plague has failed

[–] 0 pt

It's a thought that crosses my mind once in a while; shitlib-woke-pocs-niggers in charge of the american nuclear stockpile

It's going to happen, at some point all those nukes will be in the hands of diversity niggers mostly, in a soviet like bankrupt country

Sure we can.

We don't make as much in china as you think. 50 % of all cpus are fully built in america. Virtually all cpus are actually fabbed in america and then shipped out to asia for packaging.

We have shippend a ton of of industry, but it isn't quite as bad as everyone thinks. We need to remove all non whites, pull up borders and start re-building.

The real problem isn't industry, expulsion of non-whites or pulling up our borders. The REAL problem is the 1 billion people in india and the other 1 billion in china. If those populations ever manage to fix them selves just enough to start trading with them selves, we enter Borg territory. When that happens, we become sources of raw materials for them because neither india nor china have any left.

In comparison, re-building our economy will be a piece of cake.
