Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky received a no from Nato about joining Ukraine to the war alliance. Outwardly, however, the doors would be kept open. Zelensky said this in an interview with CNN. He wanted concrete messages for the people of Ukraine from both the EU and Nato, but never got it. Instead, Ukraine was forced into a”limbo " state of doze-off.

In an interview with CNN, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about his contacts with Western leaders.

Among other things, he says that he explicitly asked for clear messages from the EU and Nato.

"All the leaders of the EU and Nato knew my position. I told them time was running out. You must accept Ukraine into Nato now. You must accept Ukraine as a member of the European Union. We deserve these alliances, and we are strengthening them, " Zelensky told CNN.

According to Zelensky, the war did not begin recently, but has been going on for eight years.

"But everyone in the West said We have no chance of joining Nato or the EU," he said. I told them not to force the Ukrainian people into a corner, because they are a brave people. The West should also have been brave and told Ukrainians that they will not become members of Nato and the EU. I asked them personally to say that they will accept us into Nato in one, two or five years. Just say it directly and clearly, or just say no. And the answer was very clear: you (Ukraine) will not become a Nato member, but in public the doors will remain open.

So it is not Ukraine that has not wanted to join Nato, but Nato that has refused to let it into the alliance, according to Volodymyr Zelensky. He also said that Nato membership would have prevented the war and reiterated that he wanted to join ”immediately”. It is not fair to let Ukraine continue in a ”limbo” of fluidity, he explains in the interview.

Zelensky on NATO: “I requested them personally to say that we are going to accept you into NATO…just say it directly and clearly, or just say no. The response was very clear, you're not going to be a NATO member, but publicly, the doors will remain open”.

Astonishing news from Zelenskyy.

In a CNN Interview he said the US Govt told him “You’re not going to be a NATO member” but the US asked to keep the public facade that Ukraine may join.

It means the US could have easily prevented this war but didn’t. Ukrainians pay the price.

That might also mean that the Russian agencies didn't have proper information and Russia was somehow duped into this.
