I did a lot of business with the Chinese - I got to know several of them quite well. One once said this to me about China and the Chinese: "China is China first, and Communist second." The Chinese are very practical that way. You can count on them choosing to act in their own self interest. When globalism is seen as no longer in their self interest, they will drop it like a hot potato. Now they can have everything they ever wanted from the Russians and they don't even have to invade to get it. Oil, food, and nearly unlimited raw materials commodities. Of course they are going to take that deal.
