It's like what they do online to ban content creators they don't like: - The media posts smear pieces about the content creator. - A wikipedia article is created, citing these smear pieces. - Further smear pieces are written citing the wikipedia article. - Big Tech uses these smear pieces and the wikipedia article as a justification to ban the content creator.
