the strange part about the article, is that while kinda declaring war, it also talks about how china is now going to shoot itself in it's own foot and go back to socialism.

So it would also seem that china would do a better job at killing itself than a war with the US might. Or they are just using the US as a boogie man thing like covid is used here to scare people into obedience into socialism again.

But I don't know why they would need to do that. They are already a single party communist country, they can just do whatever they want anyway and have been this whole time.
