The stupidest argument ever is "guns kill people". An inanimate object cannot will itself to killing a person. It's like saying "cars kill people" or knives kill people". People should have guns to protect themselves from the unknown danger. It's imperative that we should be able to protect ourselves from all threats in a place where we can no longer retreat further from.
