Russia is not concerned about the growth of China, this factor can only concern those who claim to be world hegemony, said presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

Chine gives no fucks about Russia. But in a same time russia really needs that friendship with china, because otherwise it's gonna hurt badly.

There was this event of opening some gas pipe of something like that between russia and china. Putin was present there, but china sent some adviser of some minister to meet with Putin. Just shows you how much china values this friendship.

Russia is important for China. The worst case for China in a cold or not-so-cold war is a sea blockade, and Russia is their escape corridor for worldwide trade. Also, China has not enough fertile soil, they need imports from Russian agriculture.

I started thinking about Russia and China as a single geo political entity years ago when I realized how long their shared border was. If you go to certain immigrant communities in the United States you will find some very Chinese immigrants whose first language is Russian and you will find some Russian immigrants who is primary language is Chinese. There is that much cross-border traffic.

It is like the United States\Canada relationship except on a much larger scale.
