If they really wanted to do that they would cut off welfare to all the shit hole countries and to their own population. The population would be cut in half within 20 years, possibly sooner. The way our global financial system is set up it requires an ever growing population just so it doesn't collapse.

Honestly whilst our system currently requires unlimited growth, I think they are moving on to the next stage beyond this.
