Yeah, thought so somehow, Alsace and Savoy are both dark blue. Those areas are historically alpine culture (so celtic/german). They tend to be more independent and much less servile than the rest of France. There's a similar region in Italy (Tyrol) which also pushes for independence on a regular basis, and is nowhere near as far left as the rest of the country.

You could be right about Brittany and Normandy though. I know the Bretons had a pro-nazi independence movement during WW2 called the Gwyn e du (black and white). I gather they don't waste any love on Paris.

The first test you need to apply in the first phases of analyzing a politician is their stance on jews. I am not demanding full 1488, but i need to see that they have distanced themselves from jewish influences as much as possible.

If they are like trump and have multiple jews marrying into their families, if they have a picture of themselves on the wailing wall, if they call israel a great ally, if they are advised on handled by jews, then hard pass on them.
