I doubt this sentiment really has anything to do with the pipeline; it’s likely just another political move to knock White Self-Determination down yet another peg. It’s continuing to feed the narrative that What Germany Did was really really bad. This German president probably gets some kind of kickback for it - like getting to eat at a restaurant without a mask or something.
