How in the nigger is this international news, breathless coverage, ALERTS, etc.

I don't even consume radio or TV or mainstream internet (hardly see anything not on Drudge or poal), but somehow I know the status of the rescue.

National news at best. Do you think if somebody got trapped in a cave in the US that Thailand would consider it newsworthy?
