It's never been clear to me what precipitated action against Yemen - basically it's an underdeveloped backwater with one key port: Aden. Then I read up, and they've got underdeveloped oil and gas reserves off shore. Not huge, but enough to perhaps empower themselves if they expanded production. Still, they're small fry. Maybe because of their alignment with Iran? Must really piss (((them))) off.
