Don't live near an kind of recycling. There's a plant down the road from where I needed to move for work, and there's an explosion of some kind every day. Most of them are unimportant, just loud airburst kinda thing that don't damage anything but it's annoying as hell to have your house shake at random hours and wonder when the big one is coming. Mine does paper and plastic. Apparently leftover food, mold and general gunk makes enough methane to cause the explosions.
