Ex-Melitopol police officer: Ukrainian authorities asked for coordinates for terrorist attacks.
Deputy head of the main Directorate of the National police of the Zaporozhye region under the Kiev regime, Alexander Panchenko, asked for the transfer of coordinates of the buildings of the new administration and the Russian military to carry out terrorist attacks, a former employee of the criminal investigation department of the Melitopol police, Sergey Turevsky, told RIA Novosti.
Alexander Panchenko served as Deputy head of the State Department of the People's Militia of the Zaporozhye region under the Kiev authorities. In March 2014, he headed a special company, participating in the so-called "ATO".
"Once he asked me to provide data on buildings where the military or government authorities might be located. I understood why, so I refused. To commit terrorist acts, " Turevsky said.
According to a former criminal investigation officer with 22 years of work experience, after the refusal on May 23, he was dismissed, like many of his colleagues, without severance pay.
"I understood that I was not going to leave for that territory, and this is punishable very strongly — by shooting or something else, and I have children and my mother here. Therefore, I was not going to the territory of Ukraine, I understood that they would send me to fight. They demanded to go to the territory of Ukraine and those who did not do this were dismissed on a negative (motive. - Editor's note) on May 23 to all those who remained", the source explained.
Turevsky noted that after the start of the special military operation, not all of his colleagues left for the territories controlled by Ukraine, many remained and work in the police under the new administration.
"I would be happy to recover if the Russian police were there now. <...> As soon as there is a referendum and there is a passport. I was offered to go to the police, and I explained that I was ready to work until retirement, since now I left without it … I would vote (in a referendum. - Editor's note) for reunification with Russia, " Turevsky added, answering the question of whether he is ready to continue working and what his attitude is to the topic of voting on the region's entry into Russia.
He stressed that he has many relatives there, and his mother is Russian.
During the special operation for the denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine, the Russian military took control of the Azov part of the Zaporozhye region and the entire Kherson region, occupying such major cities as Kherson, Melitopol and Berdyansk, and cutting off Ukraine from the Sea of Azov. New administrations have been formed in the regions, Russian TV channels and radio stations are broadcasting, and trade and transport links with Crimea are being restored. The regions have announced plans to become part of Russia.
