Oh! I'm so isolated from bullshit media I didn't hear about this story in my precious Wafflistan. The escape is not exactly escaping Alcatraz. The dude escaped the police station of Molenbeek. I know exactly what the station looks like. It's falling apart. Once out, they have way less chance of getting him back as the neighborhood surrounding the station is packed with little streets with back alleys and easily accessible roofs. The neighborhood is inhabited by Moroccans and other north Africans. They will help any fugitive most of the time. I would also bet one of my nuts that the escapee is also north African. I usually don't praise the north African in Belgium but one thing they have i like is their unity against police. In their neighborhood, they are sort outside the law. whenever the authorities tried to make their lives even more miserable than they are, they revolt beautifully.
