Here it comes... regulation.

I even read an article a few days ago where it is being discussed that you private key must be held in escrow instead of you holding it personally.

Here it comes... regulation. I even read an article a few days ago where it is being discussed that you private key *must* be held in escrow instead of you holding it personally.

Constitutionally, I believe, this is meaningless. Congress has already legislated its property, not currency. Not even the secret service has authority over it.

This means it's private property.

EO only controls the federal government's interpretation of law.

Any interpretation they provide applies to all private property. If something shady shakes out here, it's likely a hugely illegal, tyrannical, overreach against all private property. Which is a concern for socialism, communism, and fascism.

The EO was to commission a study to find out how they can regulate it... if you bothered reading the article.

It will be regulated, and the main concern is it's use in illicit transactions. <=== this is the main driving force.
